About Ferrerías, Menorca
Ferreries is a town in the autonomous community of Balearic Islands, Spain. It’s located on the island of Menorca. Its name derives from 'ferrer' which comes from the Latin word 'ferrum'
The ancient castle 'Castillo de Santa Agueda' can be found in Ferrerías, on the north coast road called Camí Détsen Alocs. This castle was once occupied by the Moorish and according to the legend the horse of the Moorish prince went down the hill of the castle and stopped with such force that you can still see the marks on the stone. Ferreries goes from north to south of the island and has beautiful beaches on both coasts.
