Vila de Gracia was added to Barcelona city in 1897 and it has unique narrow streets and charming public squares such as Plaza del Sol, Plaza de Rius i Taulet and Plaza de la Virreina. In these typical Gracia squares there are plenty of open-air bars & cafés where you can enjoy the great Spanish weather and a café or cold pint with your friends. There are also many small bars located in its narrow streets that offer cocktails and music.
La Fiesta Mayor de Gracia (Great Gracia celebration) is a very popular festival celebrated in Gracia neighbourhood every August. It’s one of the largets festivals in Barcelona, a street celebration that lasts 8 days and visited by people from all Barcelona areas. Each street is decorated in a colourful way, there is music and celebrations on the streets and several groups of artists share their joy with the enthusiastic crowd.
Gracia neighbourhood in Barcelona, Spain is the home of the world-famous Parc Güell (Güell Park) designed by the unique architect Antoni Gaudi and built in the years 1900 to 1914. This fantastic park is located in the centre of Gracia district - on the hill called El Carmel - and it is a 17.18 ha wide garden complex with amazing and beautiful architectural elements. The Park Güell is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Works of Antoni Gaudí".
