Paul Lupson - Managing Director

homein.com was founded in 2005 by British born Paul Lupson. Paul previously worked at BBC Online as a specialist in website navigation and has 14 years of experience in website usability and navigation design. Paul like many Brits, went in search of more sunshine than west London could offer and made the move to Barcelona.

His own personal experience of attempting to find a place to live in a foreign city was the basis for homein.com. Searching online he had trouble finding real estate agents specialising in specific areas, found their websites often poorly designed and un-helpful, presuming the user knew where 'Eixample Izquierda' was in Barcelona... and of course most websites were in Spanish or even more confusingly, Catalan!
Paul had no luck searching for Barcelona property online from London, so made several costly trips to Barcelona in person, walking the streets looking for "En Alquiler" (Spanish for 'For Rent') signs, find real estate agents offices, organise viewings, travel across the city, until finally he found an apartment.

Convinced he could improve the online real estate search process Paul created homein.com with the clear remit of: "Make searching for a home more simple, for locals and foreigners alike."
